Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Clean in a Snap collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We've written this in plain English because privacy policies shouldn't require a law degree.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed (encrypted) password. We never store your password in plain text.
Photos: When you use the app, you upload photos of your spaces. These are transmitted to our AI provider for analysis and stored securely in the cloud to power your session history and before/after comparison features. See Section 3 for full details.
Usage data: We store your session history, cleaning plans, scores, streaks, badges, coach preferences, and subscription status so we can provide the app's features.
Payment information: Payment details are processed and stored by Stripe, Apple, or Google — not by us. We receive only basic confirmation that a payment was made and your subscription status.
Device information: We may collect basic device information (OS version, app version) for troubleshooting purposes.
When you upload a photo, here is exactly what happens:
We do not: use your photos for AI training, sell your photos, or share your photos with anyone other than Anthropic (for analysis) and Supabase (for storage).
Content moderation: Photos are screened by our automated moderation system before analysis. Photos that are flagged as containing illegal, explicit, or otherwise prohibited content are rejected, not stored, and may be logged for safety and legal compliance purposes.
Anthropic's handling of data submitted to their API is governed by their own privacy policy, available at anthropic.com/privacy. Supabase's data handling is governed by their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
By uploading a photo, you acknowledge and consent to this transmission, moderation screening, and storage.
All photos submitted to Clean in a Snap are subject to automated content moderation. We maintain a log of moderation actions for safety and legal compliance purposes.
In accordance with 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, if we detect apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM), we are legally required to report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline and to preserve relevant data for law enforcement. Uploading illegal content will result in immediate account termination.
We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We share data only with the following trusted partners, and only as necessary to operate the service:
| Partner | What we share | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Photos (for analysis, not stored by them) | AI analysis for cleaning plans |

| Stripe | Email, payment details | Subscription billing |
| Apple / Google | Purchase confirmation | In-app subscription processing |
| NCMEC / Law Enforcement | Flagged illegal content only | Legal reporting obligations |
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Artizen, LLC, our users, or the public.

If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and secure cloud infrastructure. Photos are stored in private Supabase storage with access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
